How to use this reference
The terms defined below appear throughout the Srucemere platform pages. This glossary is intended to give each term a precise meaning in the context of the system, reducing ambiguity when reading the site's descriptions of its capabilities and scope.
These definitions reflect the platform's design intent, not universal technical standards. Where terms are used differently in other contexts, this reference takes precedence for understanding how Srucemere uses them.

Key terms and their meanings
Each entry below defines one concept as it applies specifically to the Srucemere system and its interface.
The process of arranging data into a structured, navigable form. In the Srucemere context, this involves applying defined classification criteria to records before presenting them to the user, so that similar items appear together and the overall structure is consistent.
The assignment of a record or piece of data to one or more predefined categories. Classification is performed by the system according to its configured criteria, not manually by the user. It determines how records are grouped and surfaced within the review interface.
A mode of examining information in which the user follows a defined path through classified records rather than browsing freely. The structure is determined by the platform's classification logic and is designed to support considered, thorough examination of available material.
The part of the Srucemere platform through which users navigate and examine records. It presents information in the order determined by the system's classification and surfacing logic, providing controls for moving between records and viewing detail.
An individual item of information within the platform, such as a data entry, a document, or a structured observation. Records are the fundamental units that the classification system organises and that users examine within the review interface.
A defined grouping within the classification structure. Records that share the same classification criteria are assigned to the same category. Categories are determined by the platform's configuration and are consistent across all records of a given type.
A formal expression of interest submitted through the enquiry form, in which a user indicates that they would like to use the Srucemere platform. Access requests are reviewed individually by the team. Submitting a request does not automatically result in access being granted.
The sequence in which records are presented to a user within the structured review interface. The flow follows the system's classification logic, surfacing records in a coherent order rather than at random, and allowing users to progress through a defined set of information systematically.
The defined limits of what Srucemere is designed to do. The platform operates within these limits and does not extend its own capabilities in response to individual user input. Users who require functions outside the stated scope should contact the team to discuss whether their needs can be accommodated.
Assistance provided by the Srucemere team in response to questions or difficulties encountered while using or attempting to access the platform. Support is delivered by email following a submission through the contact form. It does not include real-time chat or telephone support at this stage.
